Our Catholic school is part of the Catholic Church. We work in partnership with our local parish and priests in order to enrich the spiritual life of the students, staff and families of our school, especially through the celebration of the Sacraments.
The school is responsible for preparing children in Year 2 to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The children receive the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time in Year 3. The Sacrament of Confirmation is conferred in Year 6. Both of these sacramental programs are parish-based. Children attend children’s liturgy and instruction on Sundays each week. At the end of the preparation the children will receive the Sacraments. Our Religious Education curriculum supports the parish programs in the Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation. The involvement of the family, the school and parish in these Sacraments, highlights the partnership which exists in the faith development of our students.
